Hot action and accessible jackpots await!
Hot Rocket Mega Potz is the latest entry in BGaming's Rocket Eruption series, and it's back in the same tropical jungle. This time, though, it's added three new systems instead of just a new skin. A Spin Countdown rewards you for simply playing, upgrading the Collect symbol every 50 spins. A row of Bonus reels builds toward the bonus across spins. And a Free Spins pre-game lets you gamble your round up, or down. That's a lot of game sitting on a familiar coin-collect base, and for a franchise entry it's a fair answer to "why play this one". It's medium-high volatility with a x6,030 max multiplier and 4,096 ways. The 94.15% RTP is noticeably below the 97% BGaming usually lists, so keep that in mind.

Core Gameplay
The base game runs on Coins and Collect symbols. Coins carry values from x0.2 up to x20 of the bet. Collect symbols only land on reels 1 and 6, and they collect every Coin on screen without removing it. If both Collect symbols land at the same time, every Coin is collected twice. Wilds appear on reels 2ā5.
The new idea here is the Spin Countdown. Every 50 spins, the base-game Collect symbol unlocks a higher multiplier: x2 after 50, x3 after 100, x4 after 150, x5 after 200. Once a few levels are unlocked, each Collect picks a random value from that range. In other words, the game rewards you directly for how long you've been playing.
The Bonus symbol works the same way. It pays anywhere and lights a fire under the reel it lands on, and once all 6 reels are lit, a random X-Potz Bonus begins. Those flames stay lit even when a bonus comes from somewhere else, and buying a feature doesn't reset them either. Like the Spin Countdown, it's progress that carries over between spins.
Bonus Features
There are four X-Potz Bonus levels, each tied to a volcano: Blue (9 free spins, x2 Collect), Green (12, x3), Yellow (15, x4) and Red (18, x5). Every one of them includes x2āx5 Multiplier Wilds, and when several are part of the same win, their multipliers are multiplied together.
The Free Spins pre-game is the risky part. Before the round starts you can try a boost. Win it and you move up a level, with more spins and a bigger Collect multiplier. Lose it and you drop a level. You can keep pushing until you hit Red, which starts the round automatically. Lose at the very bottom rung (6 spins and no Collect multiplier) and the whole bonus is gone. It's a straight gamble on the bonus itself, and on paper it's the most interesting decision in the game.
Jackpot tokens (the Wheel of Fortune symbols) feed five jackpot tiers. In the base game they can grow a jackpot's value. In the bonus, collecting 6 of them starts the Jackpot round, a three-section wheel that keeps going until a jackpot is won, so the round always pays out. Mini through Mega grow between their starting and maximum values, while Max is fixed at x5,000. Jackpot values aren't tied to your bet and don't reset when you change it.
Feature Access & Buy Options
Buy Bonus offers two options: a random Free Spins round, or straight into the Red Volcano bonus, at prices shown in the game. Buying doesn't reset your Bonus reel progress, so the flames you've lit stay lit.
Next Steps for This Review
At launch we'll add the number of rows, the buy prices, and the odds on each step of the pre-game boost. We'll also look at how often the Spin Countdown multipliers come into play, and how much the base game actually grows the jackpots. Finally, we'll compare the new features against the earlier Rocket Eruption titles.
Full gameplay analysis and a final score will follow the launch.
