Six Feet Under Review (2026) – Nolimit City | 30,000x, Buried Gems & The Descent

    Reviewed on:

    Updated:

    6.88/10

    TL;DR

    The 30-second verdict

    • 1A 6x6 cascading slot where dirt buries Gems, Bombs, and Bonus symbols, Gems grow with every avalanche, and The Descent bonus keeps going until the grid fills with sticky dirt and you’re buried six feet under
    • 2A nice 30,000x max win, a genuinely cool play-until-you’re-buried bonus concept, and Gem multipliers that rise per avalanche, making the 1,000x Gem feel within reach
    • 3Everything else feels all over the place: a theme somewhere between comedy and horror, a grid that looks outdated, and an xTra spin that’s only one avalanche

Making friends has never been his strong suit, and in Six Feet Under by Nolimit City, this time it’s a woman in the box. One minute you’re his new best friend; the next, you’ve got your own little spot in the ground. It’s a 6-reel, 6-row cascading slot where every spin buries the bottom rows in dirt, hiding Gems, Bombs, and Bonus symbols beneath it. Bombs blast the dirt away in six different patterns, Gems pay out when they’re dug up, and every Gem grows by its own base value with each avalanche. The Descent, the bonus round, gives you potentially unlimited spins until the grid fills completely with sticky dirt. The max win is 30,000x, RTP is 96.05%, hit frequency is 21.90%, and volatility is rated 10, Extreme. It kind of reminds us of a lot of things: the digging from Shady Lady’s Love Nest, elements of Nolimit’s own Fire in the Hole, and mining games in general. The max win is nice, and the bury-you-alive bonus is a really cool idea. Everything else kind of feels all over the place.

Visuals & Theme: Somewhere Between Comedy and Horror

    Graphics Score: 6.00/10

The theme is all over the place. Six Feet Under is a dark, dirt-caked graveyard game about a “best friends forever” killer, but it plays out on a grid that’s half mine shaft and half bomb disposal. The Bombs themselves are a gift box, a taped-up teddy bear, a big yellow box, a glass jar, a bundle of dynamite, and a birthday cake, and the max win is called “Happy Birthday”. It’s a strange mix of comedy and horror, and we’re honestly not sure whether that’s intentional, so we might have missed the point.

The base game music sums it up best: it reminds us of The Sims background music, and that’s thematically where this slot lands for us, somewhere between comedy and horror. The jump scare of the box in the background is a nice touch, and this time it’s a woman in the box, not a man like in Shady Lady’s Love Nest.

Graphically, some details are exquisite. But overall, the presentation doesn’t come together into a cohesive whole, and the grid in particular looks outdated. The 6.00/10 reflects a game with genuinely great individual pieces that never quite add up to a strong overall look.

Six Feet Under The Descent 8x

Technical Deep Dive: A Strong Ceiling and a Huge, Uneven Menu

    RTP: 96.05% / 94.02% (DX1) / 92.07% (DX2) | RTP Base Game / Bonus Modes: 60.41% / 35.64% | Volatility: 10 (Extreme) | Max Win: 30,000x (1 in ~93.5M spins at 96.05%) | Hit Frequency: 21.90% | Free Spins: 1 in 233 | Win 100x Bet: 1 in 663 | Grid: 6x6, cascading | Bet Range: €0.20–€100

The 96.05% standard RTP clears the competitive threshold, and the max win is nice: 30,000x, branded “Happy Birthday”, sits in the very strong band for the 2026 market. Once the total win passes 30,000x, the round ends and 30,000x is awarded. The Descent arrives about once every 233 spins, and a 100x win lands about once every 663 spins.

    Nolimit Bonus (direct buys):

    • The Descent (3x Bonus) — 60x bet

    • The Descent (5x Bonus) — 250x bet

    • The Descent (6x Bonus) — 600x bet

    • The Descent (8x Bonus) — 1,900x bet

    • Lucky Draw — 260x bet, a random Descent outcome at 25% / 25% / 25% / 25%

    • Lucky Draw II — 2,965x bet, a random Descent outcome at 40% / 30% / 20% / 5% / 3% / 2%

Nolimit Booster (charged on every spin while active):

    • Bonus Booster — 3x bet, a Bonus symbol guaranteed beneath the dirt

    • Pure Spin — 8x bet, only Gems with a base value of 5x or higher can land

    • Purer Spin — 80x bet, only Gems with a base value of 50x or higher can land

    • Greedy Spin — 30x bet, every dirt position filled with Gems

    • Greedier Spin — 300x bet, every dirt position filled with Gems worth 50x or more

    • Greediest Spin — 3,000x bet, every dirt position filled with 1,000x Gems

Running the ratios against the 30,000x ceiling, the 60x Descent buy is exceptional at a 500x return, among the best entry points in this catalogue. The 250x Descent and 260x Lucky Draw are excellent at 120x and 115.4x, and the 600x Descent is comfortable at 50x. At the top end, the menu gets tight: the 1,900x Descent returns 15.8x, the 2,965x Lucky Draw II 10.1x, and the 3,000x-per-spin Greediest Spin 10x. We did hit the max win on a Greediest Spin, but at 3,000x a spin, that’s not a buy that resonates with most players.

Side Hustle (optional add-on bets, stackable):

    • Explode Small Box Bomb — 2x, pays 20.55x

    • Explode Teddy Bear Bomb — 2x, pays 22.90x

    • Explode Big Box Bomb — 0.80x, pays 42.50x

    • Explode Glass Can Bomb — 0.80x, pays 41.85x

    • Explode Gasoline Bomb — 0.60x, pays 61.40x

    • Explode Cake Bomb — 0.60x, pays 60.85x

    • 12 Freespins — 0.80x, pays 532.55x if The Descent reaches at least 12 spins

    • No Dirt — 0.10x, pays 136.30x if the spin ends with no dirt left

    • Dead Spin — 10x, pays 12.25x if the base game spin ends with no win

Mechanics: A Lot of Familiar Ideas in One Hole

    Innovation Score: 6.50/10

Six Feet Under kind of reminds us of a lot of things: digging like Love Nest, the explosive mining feel of Fire in the Hole, and mining games in general. The 6.50/10 reflects that: plenty of recognizable pieces, held together by one genuinely cool idea in the bonus.

    Dirt and Cascades

On every spin, positions on the bottom rows are randomly filled with dirt, and some of those dirt positions hide symbols underneath: Bonus symbols, Bombs, or Gems. Above the dirt, wins cascade as usual: winning symbols explode and are removed, and new symbols fall into place, potentially forming new wins. A Wild substitutes for any paying symbol.

    Bombs

Bombs are the tools that dig everything up. When one explodes, it clears both paying symbols and dirt in its own pattern:

    • Small Box Bomb — a 3x3 area.

    • Teddy Bear Bomb — a cross, up to 2 symbols in all four directions.

    • Big Box Bomb — a 5x5 area.

    • Glass Can Bomb — its own row plus the rows directly above and below.

    • Gasoline Bomb — its own column plus the columns to its left and right.

    • Cake Bomb — its row, its column, and both diagonals through its position.

    Gems

Each Gem carries a value. When a Bomb clears the dirt covering a Gem, its value is multiplied by the base bet and paid out. Base values range across 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x, 200x, and 1,000x, and at the start of every avalanche, every Gem’s value increases by its base value.

We like that the Gem multiplier rises per avalanche rather than per spin. It feels better, and it makes a 1,000x Gem feel easier to reach: a long cascade sequence keeps stacking value onto every buried Gem before a Bomb finally digs it out. We didn’t see big Gem payouts in regular play, though.

Six Feet Under The Greediest Spin

    Shovel and Toolbox

When a Shovel symbol lands, it removes itself and adds random Gems to the empty dirt positions on its reel, upgrading any Gems already there to a higher multiplier. The Toolbox works the same way, but across every reel.

    The Descent

Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers The Descent; Bonus symbols still hidden beneath the dirt don’t count. The reel area starts empty, and on every new drop, dirt is added alongside the regular symbols. That dirt is sticky, and the round ends only when the entire reel area is filled with it. For every Bonus symbol beyond 3 in the trigger, the next lowest Gem type can’t land during the round, which is what the 3x, 5x, 6x, and 8x Descent buys represent.

What’s really cool here is the play-until-you-die concept: potentially unlimited spins until the protagonist buries you. Some of our Descents lasted quite long, though the normal bonuses didn’t produce big wins.

Expert Insight: The Descent’s sticky dirt is both the round’s persistence and its countdown. Every drop adds more permanent dirt, which means more places for Gems to hide and grow, but also brings the grid closer to being completely full, which ends the round. Bombs are what keep a Descent alive: every explosion clears dirt, pays out any Gems underneath, and opens space for the round to keep going. That’s why the higher Descent tiers matter: removing the lowest Gem types means every Gem you do dig up is worth more, and with Gem values growing every avalanche, a long round full of high-tier Gems is where the 30,000x ceiling actually lives.

    xTra

When a round ends, you might be offered the chance to buy an additional spin that keeps all dirt containing symbols, along with any Bonus symbols from the previous spin. Its price depends on the active feature and the remaining symbols, and it’s only offered if that price is at or below the round’s total win.

⚠ xTra is only one avalanche. We thought we’d like the extra spin the most here: on purchase, it cleared the whole grid, so our train of thought was that we’d get more spins until the grid filled with dirt again. But no, it’s only one avalanche, which makes it far less exciting than that first moment suggests.

Potential & Entertainment: A Nice Max Win in a Game That’s All Over the Place

    Potential Score: 8.00/10 | Entertainment Score: 7.00/10

Potential lands at a strong 8.00. The max win is nice: 30,000x in the very strong band, backed by a competitive 96.05% RTP. The 60x Descent buy returns an exceptional 500x ratio, Gems that grow every avalanche make even the 1,000x tier feel reachable, and the menu of Descent tiers, Boosters, and Side Hustles gives players plenty of ways to chase the ceiling. We hit the max win ourselves, on a Greediest Spin, but that’s a 3,000x-per-spin Booster, and the normal bonuses didn’t produce big wins.

Entertainment sits at 7.00. The play-until-you’re-buried Descent is a genuinely cool idea, some rounds run long enough to build real tension, and the box jump scare in the background is a fun touch. But the game kind of reminds us of too many other things, the theme lands somewhere between comedy and horror without committing to either, and the xTra spin turns out to be just one avalanche. Everything apart from the max win kind of feels all over the place.

Final Verdict: A Great Idea, Buried Under Everything Else

Six Feet Under has one really cool idea at its core: a bonus where you keep playing, potentially without limit, until the grid fills with dirt and the protagonist buries you. Gems that grow every avalanche make the 1,000x tier feel reachable, the 30,000x max win is nice, and the 60x Descent buy is exceptional value against that ceiling.

The problem is everything around it. It kind of reminds us of a lot of things, from Love Nest’s digging to Fire in the Hole to mining games in general, and the theme is all over the place, with Sims-style background music landing it somewhere between comedy and horror. Some graphical details are exquisite, but the overall look lacks cohesion, and the grid looks outdated. The normal bonuses didn’t deliver big wins, our max win came from the 3,000x Greediest Spin, and the xTra spin that seemed so promising is just one avalanche.

A nice max win. A cool bonus idea. Six feet of everything else.

    Pros & Cons

    Pros (4)

    A nice 30,000x max win.

It sits in the very strong band for the 2026 market, backed by a competitive 96.05% RTP.

    A really cool play-until-you’re-buried bonus.

The Descent gives you potentially unlimited spins until the grid fills completely with sticky dirt, and some rounds last quite long.

Gem multipliers that rise per avalanche, not per spin.

Every Gem grows by its base value with each avalanche, which feels better and makes the 1,000x Gem easier to reach.

    An exceptional 60x entry buy.

The Descent at 60x returns 500x against the 30,000x ceiling, and the 250x Descent and 260x Lucky Draw are still excellent.

    Cons (3)

    A grid that looks outdated.

Despite some great details, the overall presentation lacks cohesion.

A theme that’s all over the place.

It sits somewhere between comedy and horror, with Sims-style background music, and it kind of reminds us of too many other games.

The xTra spin is only one avalanche.

It clears the whole grid on purchase, which suggests a longer run, but it ends after a single avalanche.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you get started

What is the maximum win in Six Feet Under?

The maximum win is 30,000x your bet, branded “Happy Birthday”, with odds of roughly 1 in 93.5 million spins at the 96.05% RTP configuration. Once the total win passes 30,000x, the round ends and 30,000x is awarded.

How do dirt, Bombs, and Gems work?

On every spin, random positions on the bottom rows fill with dirt, and some of that dirt hides Bonus symbols, Bombs, or Gems. Bombs clear paying symbols and dirt in their own patterns: Small Box (3x3), Teddy Bear (a cross reaching 2 symbols in each direction), Big Box (5x5), Glass Can (three rows), Gasoline (three columns), and Cake (row, column, and both diagonals). When a Bomb clears the dirt over a Gem, the Gem’s value times the base bet is paid out.

    How do Gem values grow?

Gems have base values of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 20x, 50x, 100x, 200x, or 1,000x. At the start of every avalanche, every Gem’s value increases by its base value, so long cascade sequences make buried Gems worth more and more before they’re dug up. The Shovel adds Gems to empty dirt on its reel and upgrades the Gems already there, and the Toolbox does the same across every reel.

    How does The Descent work?

3 Bonus symbols trigger The Descent; Bonus symbols still hidden under dirt don’t count. The grid starts empty, and every drop adds sticky dirt alongside the regular symbols. The round continues until the entire grid is filled with dirt, so there’s no fixed number of spins. For every Bonus symbol beyond 3 in the trigger, the next lowest Gem type can’t land during the round.

What are the bonus buy and Booster options?

Nolimit Bonus: The Descent 3x (60x), 5x (250x), 6x (600x), and 8x (1,900x), Lucky Draw (260x, four outcomes at 25% each), and Lucky Draw II (2,965x, six outcomes at 40%, 30%, 20%, 5%, 3%, and 2%). Nolimit Booster, charged every spin: Bonus Booster (3x), Pure Spin (8x, only 5x+ Gems), Purer Spin (80x, only 50x+ Gems), Greedy Spin (30x, all dirt filled with Gems), Greedier Spin (300x, all dirt filled with 50x+ Gems), and Greediest Spin (3,000x, all dirt filled with 1,000x Gems).

What are Side Hustle and xTra?

Side Hustle offers nine stackable side bets: six for each Bomb type exploding (0.60x to 2x, paying 20.55x to 61.40x), 12 Freespins (0.80x, pays 532.55x if The Descent reaches 12 spins), No Dirt (0.10x, pays 136.30x), and Dead Spin (10x, pays 12.25x). xTra may offer a paid extra spin after a round that keeps all dirt containing symbols and any Bonus symbols; it lasts a single avalanche.

What is the RTP and volatility?

The standard RTP is 96.05%, with alternate configurations at 94.02% (DX1) and 92.07% (DX2). Volatility is rated 10, Extreme, hit frequency is 21.90%, and The Descent triggers about once every 233 spins.
