Core Gameplay
The Library Overdue runs on a 5x4 ways grid set inside a sinister, vampire-haunted library. The core mechanic is Stackways™, which comes in two variants. Normal Stackways™ symbols, when activated, fill their reel with a stack of between 2 and 4 paying symbols. Revealing Stackways™ symbols activate the same fundamental mechanic but at a significantly higher ceiling, stacking between 5 and 10 paying symbols on their reel. In both cases the exact number of symbols stacked is determined by the value of the specific Stackways symbol that lands, meaning not every Normal or Revealing trigger delivers the same outcome — there's a range within each tier, and landing toward the top of the Revealing range represents the mechanic's best-case scenario. A reel filled with 10 stacked paying symbols from a Revealing Stackways activation dramatically increases the number of ways available across the rest of the grid, making the symbol type and its landing value the single most important variable on any given spin.
Bonus Features
Full detail on the bonus structure for The Library Overdue is not yet available. Whether a dedicated Free Spins feature exists, and whether Revealing Stackways™ symbols appear more frequently or stack to higher values inside any bonus round, will be confirmed at launch.
Feature Access & Buy Options
Bonus buy availability has not been confirmed at this stage. Further detail on access options will be added ahead of or at launch.
Next Steps for This Review
At launch the review will be updated to cover confirmed RTP, the full bonus structure, how frequently Revealing Stackways™ symbols land relative to Normal ones, what determines the exact stack value within each symbol's range, and how the ways count scales when multiple Stackways symbols activate within the same spin. A final score and full gameplay analysis will follow once hands-on time with the game is available.

Who said books were boring?
Kitsune Studios turns the local library into a gothic horror set piece with The Library Overdue, a 5x4 ways slot built around Stackways™, a symbol-stacking mechanic that comes in two distinct flavours with very different ceilings. Normal Stackways™ fill reels with a modest 2 to 4 stacked symbols, while Revealing Stackways™ push that range dramatically higher to 5 through 10 — meaning the symbol that lands determines not just whether a Stackways event happens, but how big it gets. At a 10,000x max win and high volatility of 4 out of 5, the gap between a Normal and Revealing Stackways trigger represents a meaningful swing in what a single spin can deliver.
