Skull Fiesta Slot Review — NowNow Gaming

This review is based on pre-release promotional material provided by NowNow Gaming. Details may change before or at launch on 7th August 2026. A full review will follow once the game is live.

Celebrate the Day of the Dead with a party!

NowNow Gaming throws a Día de los Muertos celebration with Skull Fiesta, a 5x4 paylines slot where the entire feature set revolves around a single symbol type doing a lot of work. RIP symbols trigger the RIP Fortune mechanic, converting between one and ten symbols into Coins carrying a bet multiplier — and that's only step one. Each RIP symbol then reveals a second enhancing effect on top of the coin conversion, capable of doubling values, increasing them, generating entirely new coin values, or stacking several of these effects together in a single activation. With multiplier coins visible up to 8x in the pre-release screenshot stacking across a dense grid, and a 10,000x max win sitting at medium volatility, Skull Fiesta is built around the RIP symbol's two-stage payoff doing the heavy lifting.

    Core Gameplay

Skull Fiesta runs on a 5x4 paylines grid decorated in vibrant Day of the Dead imagery. The central mechanic is the RIP symbol, which when triggered activates RIP Fortune — transforming somewhere between one and ten symbols on the grid into Coins, each carrying a value based on the current bet multiplier. This is only the first half of the sequence. Once the coin values are revealed, the RIP symbol then reveals a separate enhancing effect that acts on those freshly converted coins. The enhancing effect can double existing coin values, increase them by some other margin, create entirely new coin values where none existed, or apply a combination of multiple effects in the same activation. This two-stage resolution — conversion first, enhancement second — means the initial RIP Fortune trigger is really just the setup for the more consequential second phase, and a spin with a high coin density going into the enhancement stage has considerably more room to escalate than one with only a handful of coins converted.

    Bonus Features

Full detail on the bonus structure for Skull Fiesta is not yet available. Whether a dedicated Free Spins feature exists alongside the RIP Fortune mechanic, or whether RIP Fortune itself scales up to function as the game's primary feature without a separate bonus round, will be confirmed at launch.

    Feature Access & Buy Options

Bonus buy availability has not been confirmed at this stage. Further detail on access options will be added ahead of or at launch.

    Next Steps for This Review

At launch the review will be updated to cover confirmed RTP, the full bonus structure, the maximum coin density achievable in a single RIP Fortune trigger, the highest possible enhancing effect values, and how a stacked combination of multiple enhancing effects performs at the top end of the 10,000x ceiling. A final score and full gameplay analysis will follow once hands-on time with the game is available.
