When a winning combination includes a symbol on an edge position of the grid, the closest battery to that position receives a charge. The condition for activating the central Wild is demanding: all six batteries must be charged during the same spin rather than accumulating across multiple spins. Once all six charge simultaneously the Wild activates at the centre of the grid — the middle position of the middle reel — substituting for paying symbols and contributing to all ways running through that central position.

The edge-position charging condition means the battery mechanic rewards wins that span the full width of the grid rather than clustering in the middle three reels. The asymmetric grid shape — narrower outer reels with fewer rows — means edge positions are less numerous than central ones, adding a natural scarcity to the charging condition.
