Gallop to Jackpots With the Mighty Buffalo
BGaming heads deep into the Wild West with Grand Buffalo Hold and Win, a high-volatility slot built around two distinct bonus engines — Free Spins and a Hold and Win Coin Respin feature. Vast prairies, dusty canyons, and thundering buffalo set the scene, while Fireball symbols, Lightning expand mechanics, and Wilds carrying multipliers of 2x, 3x, or 5x keep every tumble loaded with potential. The progressive Collect feature adds a longer-term goal by tracking Scatter landings toward an unlockable Mega Jackpot. A demo and trailer are confirmed to be coming soon.

Core Gameplay: Wilds, Fireballs and a Badge Worth Filling
Grand Buffalo Hold and Win runs on a Trueways win system with Wilds appearing on reels 2 through 5, substituting for all symbols in winning combinations. During Free Spins each Wild carries a multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 5x, and all multipliers accumulated across a spin are summed and applied to every winning combination simultaneously.
Every Scatter that lands fills a Badge displayed to the left of the reels. Once the Badge is fully filled it changes color, signaling that the Mega Jackpot is now unlockable in the next Coin Respin round — adding a persistent progression layer that runs beneath every base game spin.
Coin Respin: Hold and Win With Lightning Expansion
Six or more Coin or Fireball symbols landing in the base game trigger the Coin Respin round. All triggering Coins and Fireballs remain sticky in their positions, the game resets to 3 respins, and any additional Coins or Lightning symbols that land extend the round by resetting the counter back to 3.
The Lightning symbol adds a grid expansion mechanic during Coin Respin — when it lands on a middle or large cell it divides that unit into two, increasing the number of positions available for Coins to fill. If it lands on a small cell, a random middle or large unit is selected and divided instead, with the original Coin carried into both resulting units.
The round ends either when respins run out or all positions are filled. All Coin values are then added together for the final payout.
Three Jackpots are available within the Coin Respin feature. The Mini and Major Jackpots are awarded when their corresponding Coin types appear on the reels. The Mega Jackpot requires two conditions to be met — the Collect Badge must have been fully filled beforehand, and then all 48 positions in the Coin Respin round must be covered with Coins.
Free Spins
Four, five, or six Scatter symbols trigger 12, 15, or 20 Free Spins respectively. Retriggers are available inside the bonus — landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 Scatters during Free Spins awards 5, 12, 15, or 20 additional spins. Wild multipliers stack and sum during the feature, making each spin with multiple Wilds a meaningful escalation.
Feature Access & Buy Options
Buy Bonus allows direct access to either the Free Spins or Coin Respin bonus at a price displayed on the button, automatically adjusting when the base bet changes. Chance x2 slightly raises the bet in exchange for increased natural trigger odds for both bonus games and is disabled when Buy Bonus is active.
Next Steps for This Review
Grand Buffalo Hold and Win combines two high-ceiling systems — a multiplier-stacking Free Spins round and a jackpot-eligible Coin Respin feature — within a single high-volatility package. The key questions heading into hands-on testing are how frequently the Collect Badge fills to unlock Mega Jackpot eligibility, and how realistically achievable a full 48-position board is within a typical Coin Respin round. Full gameplay analysis and a final score will follow the April 21, 2026 launch.
