NowNow Gaming descends into the mines with Drill the Thrill, an unconventional ways slot built on an asymmetric 3x4x4x4x3 grid that expands dynamically as the feature sequence unfolds. The structure is sequential by design — a Silver Drill on reel one sets the whole thing in motion, middle reels expand to populate with Coin and Jackpot symbols, and a Golden Drill on reel five can then tip the whole spin into a Hold & Win mode with resetting lives and sticky prizes. At a 10,000x max win and medium volatility of 3 out of 5, the mechanic is more elaborate than the volatility rating might suggest, with each spin capable of running through multiple distinct phases before resolving.

Core Gameplay

Drill the Thrill runs on an asymmetric 3x4x4x4x3 ways grid, with the outer reels carrying fewer rows than the expanded middle section. The base game mechanic triggers in sequence. When a Silver Drill symbol lands on reel one it expands to form a fully stacked Wild reel and activates the Drill It Hard feature, causing reels 2, 3, and 4 to expand. Once those reels have settled, Coin and Jackpot symbols carrying bet multiplier values may land across them. Reel five then spins independently — if a Golden Drill symbol lands there, it too expands into a stacked Wild reel before triggering the Hold & Win mode. The two-stage drill sequence means each qualifying spin builds through phases, with the Silver Drill on reel one being the entry condition and the Golden Drill on reel five being the escalation into the premium feature.

Bonus Features

The Hold & Win mode operates on a standard resetting lives structure with three initial lives. Coin and Jackpot symbols that land during the mode are sticky, locking in place for the remainder of the feature. New symbols land on reels 2 through 4 only, and each time a new Coin or Jackpot symbol lands the lives reset to three, extending the feature and allowing further accumulation. What the Jackpot symbols specifically award — whether fixed prize tiers, a grand jackpot, or multiplier values — and what the full range of Coin multiplier values available during the mode looks like are details not yet confirmed and will be updated at launch.
